Seditionists
Sedition is, apparently, in the eye of the beholder
Trump’s superpower is brazenness. He openly accepts bribes. He lies even when he knows everyone knows he’s lying. He practices hypocrisy like it’s a religious tenet. Which is where Sedition comes in.
What the rioters on January 6th did was not only sedition, but was an insurrection. What the Congress members (all military or intelligence veterans) did was accurate and legal: military personnel are required to refuse to follow illegal orders by the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So, he grants clemency to his seditionist minions and suggests executing lawmakers for correctly describing the law.
When the history of Trump’s hypocrisy is written, this may rank near the top. It’s not only ridiculous, it’s un-American— or used to be. Yet the Orange Orbán’s flying monkeys back him up on it. And the spineless members of the GOP Congressional caucuses remain silent. And the media have pretty much moved on to the next Trumpian outrage. And even Lewis Carroll is wondering, WTF?
